Week 5

Hey everyone. I am just writing a blog about how school is influencing my life. I never thought that I would be able to go back to school after being out for so long. At first when I thought I would go back to school, I just laughed and said I can not handle going back to school. When I want something bad enough, I put my mind to it and do not stop til I accomplish what I want. I will not give up on my school until I have my diploma in my hand. I am bound and determined to finish school with a 3.5 or better grade point average. School is making my life better by letting accomplish what I have always wanted to do. It is making my dreams come true. When school work gets hard, I sit and think of how much I have to look forward to when I am finished with my schooling. I will not let anything get me down. I will make sure that i do succeed in school and be very proud when I am handed a diploma. I do have to say it is hard to go to school, work a full time job, and take care of four wonderful children. I would not give any of that up for anything. I keep telling myself, that I am bettering myself and the future for my kids.

Plagiarism

Hey everyone. I was just thinking about writing something to do with our citations. It is very important when we are citing someone else's work that we make sure to put the source that we cited. If someone was to cite our work and did not use the source they got it from, then it is considered plagiarism. There are so many people that do not realize that they are writing someone else's work and not letting everyone know that it did not come from them. I hope that everyone is having an awesome week. We don't have that long left until our term will be over. It is good to know exactly how we are to put our sources in alphabetical order by Author's name when using sources. Good luck in the class and writing your paper.

Going back to school

Hello everyone.
I thought I would take the time out of my birthday and write a blog for everyone. I really enjoy being an online student. It has plenty of challenges of going to school online but I would not trade it for anything. I really am glad that I made the decision to go back to school and to choose Kaplan as the school I want to go to. By going to school online, it works with my busy schedule that I have. I work a full time job, a single parent of four children, and go to school. Believe me I would not change anything because I actually make a schedule out to fit everything in. Besides working, going to school, and taking care of my kids, I also run the kids to ball practice. If someone was to tell me that I would never make it going to school online, I would tell them that it is better than going to school in person because of the busy schedule that I have. That is about all that I have to say for now. I hope everyone is enjoying the weather if it is good. I would be if i wasn't sick. Take care everyone and see you in the seminar and discussion board.

for writing composition

Hello class and professor. I really do not know what to write but I am going to give it a try. This week has been a very long week for me. The first part of the week was not bad at all, but on Wednesday when we had seminar I had to work my job from 4pm to 1am so it was hard for me to get on the computer to be able to attend all of the seminar. After that, I was off Thurday and Friday. On Friday morning, I left for Georgia to take my kids down there to stay with their dad for spring break. The bad thing about that was that I had to be back to work on Saturday because my boss would not switch my days off for me so that I would not have to hurry back to work. It took me 14 hours to get down there because of all the traffic jams and other things going on that day. After I dropped my kids off and gased up, I headed back on the road to head back home to Kentucky where I had to be at work. I hit kentucky at 3:30pm Saturday. I was so exhausted because I had not had any sleep and had been up since Friday morning at 6am. After getting back to work at 3:30pm, I was so tired I just wanted to go to sleep. I was finally able to go to bed around 2am Sunday morning.
